You need to be 17 to start learning to drive and have a valid provisional licence before you take your first driving lessons.


You will be taught how to drive competently and safely in all kinds of driving situations, how to do three reversing manoeuvres and how to safely make an emergency stop.

Your driving test fees will cost the following:
  • Theory test £31
  • Practical test £62 (weekday) £75 (weekend and weekday evenings)
